Johnny Flux Bio

Johnny Flux - Electro House / Progressive House / DJ / Producer / RemixerJohnny Flux has been making music since the age of 12. His first instrument was the guitar. By the age of 14 he was considered a musical prodigy and learned to play many other instruments as well. He played in several bands and wrote original music for all of them. Johnny often wrote all of the different parts for the different instruments. He was very much influenced by the punk and grunge sound of the early 90’s. Bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, and The Pixies, were very influential to his early sounds. Johnny Flux was also influenced by oldies. Johnny says “Oldies are the original dance music. It’s all about good times and people dancing!” Some of Johnny’s favorite oldies groups are The Beatles, The Gentrys, Beach Boys, and The Mamas & The Papas just to name a few.

After spending many years in bands playing several instruments, he began making songs entirely on his own playing all of the different instruments. He began looking for software to help hip arrange and synchronize his instruments. This was the beginning of a new era for Johnny. This was the beginning of audio production. In the late 90’s, when Johnny was about 16, he began making trance tracks with the influence of Paul Van Dyke and Paul Oakenfold. Later he discovered the sounds of Fatboy Slim (Norman Cook) and Prodigy, which brought influences in experimenting with several different sounds. After taking a break from music for several years, Johnny returned to audio production in 2003 by just making himself familiar with different software and synths. He began producing audio for commercials as well as some films. He began playing the guitar again, and shortly after met a girl named Kelly Trance. Kelly Trance and Johnny Flux decided to start producing music together in 2006. With their first track “Killin’ It”, they got attention from a record label in France. It was their first release. Currently, Johnny Flux has several projects with different producers and is constantly being asked to remix tracks for several artists.
